DAY 1: HA GIANG - QUAN BA - YEN MINH - DONG VAN (~135km)

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

• Timing: Start at 9:00 AM, finish at 5:00 PM.

• Main stops: Km0 milestone, Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Heaven Gate & Twin Mountains, Lung Tam weaving village, Lonely Nghien tree, Tham Ma Pass, Pao's House, H'mong King Palace (Vuong's Mansion), and Dong Van Old Quarter.

DAY 2: DONG VAN - MEO VAC - MAU DUE - LUNG HO - DU GIA (~120km)

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

• Timing: Start at 9:00 AM, finish at 5:00 PM.

• Main stops: Youth Volunteer Monument, Death Rock cliff, the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, Tu San Canyon, Nho Que River (boat ride), M-shaped curve, and the French Fort relic in Lung Ho.

DAY 3: DU GIA - DUONG THUONG - THAI AN - THUAN HOA - HA GIANG (~100km)

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

• Timing: Start at 9:00 AM, finish at 4:00 PM.

• Main stops: Morning swim at Du Gia Waterfall, breathtaking valley viewpoints, Thai An Hydroelectric Dam, Lung Pu waterfall, Thuan Hoa village, and a Farewell dinner at the Hagiangtrips office.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & POLICIES

1. Do I have to ride the motorbike myself? Not at all! Most of our guests choose the "Easy Rider" option, where you sit comfortably and safely behind our highly experienced local drivers. This allows you to relax, take photos, and fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery. If you prefer even more comfort and protection from the weather, we also offer premium Private SUV and open-top Jeep tours.

2. Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to ride myself? Yes. If you choose the "Self-ride" motorbike option, you MUST possess a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention with an A1 or A motorcycle endorsement. If you do not have this, we strongly advise booking the Easy Rider or SUV option to avoid legal issues and ensure your absolute safety.

3. Do I need a permit to travel through Ha Giang? Yes. Because the Ha Giang Loop runs along the border area, a Mandatory Border Area Permit is strictly required by local law for all international travelers. To ensure a seamless experience without any unnecessary hassle or interruptions during your adventure, HagiangTrips will arrange this local permit for you in advance completely free of charge. All you need to do is send a clear photo of your passport information page via WhatsApp to +84 904 044 772 right after confirming your booking.

4. What happens to my large luggage while I'm on the loop? You do not need to carry heavy bags on the mountain roads! You can leave your large backpacks and suitcases securely at our HagiangTrips Hotel completely free of charge. We recommend bringing only a small daypack (20L - 30L) with your essentials for the journey.

5. What should I pack for the trip? Keep it light! We recommend bringing a small backpack, comfortable layers of clothing (it can get chilly in the mountains), sturdy walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, swimwear, and personal medication. (Don't forget, you will also receive our exclusive HagiangTrips T-shirt when riding with us!).

6. I am a vegetarian/vegan or have food allergies. Can you accommodate this? Absolutely. We can cater to most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Please inform us of any allergies or specific dietary needs when you book, so our team and homestays can prepare your meals perfectly.

7. Is the Ha Giang Loop safe? What happens if it rains? Safety is our absolute highest priority. The roads are winding and steep, which is why we highly recommend our Easy Rider or SUV services. If it rains, we provide full-body raincoats and waterproof bags for your luggage. If HagiangTrips is forced to cancel a tour prior to departure due to severe weather/landslides, you will receive a free date change or a 100% full refund.

8. Is travel insurance included in the tour? Yes, premium domestic travel insurance is automatically included in your booking. The maximum compensation for accidents during the tour is up to 100,000,000 VND per the contract terms.

9. What are your payment and deposit policies? Are there any hidden fees? To secure your adventure, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. You can easily pay online via our secure OnePay portal (Visa, Master, Amex, JCB, CUP) or via Bank Transfer. We cover 100% of all transaction fees—the price you see is exactly what you pay! The remaining balance can be settled upon arrival at our office via Cash, Card, or Bank Transfer.

10. What is your cancellation and change policy? 

• Before Departure: Cancellations made 30+ days in advance receive a 100% deposit refund. Cancellations made 15-29 days in advance receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable.

• During the Tour: We pre-book all drivers, accommodations, and food in advance. Should you decide to voluntarily alter your itinerary, cancel mid-trip, or skip planned accommodations, no refunds will be issued for the unused services, and any extra costs incurred by new arrangements will be your responsibility.

DAY 1: HA GIANG - DONG VAN (~135km) (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

• 9:00 AM: Check-in at the iconic Ha Giang km0 milestone and let the adventure begin!

• 10:30 AM: Conquer the 8km Bac Sum Pass, the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.

• 11:00 AM: Stop to admire the breathtaking Minh Tan valley.

• 11:30 AM: Sightseeing at the iconic Quan Ba Heaven Gate.

• 12:00 PM: Take in the panoramic views of Quan Ba town and the legendary Twin Fairy Mountains.
