▸ Do I have to ride the motorbike myself?
Not at all. Most guests choose the Easy Rider option — you sit comfortably behind an experienced local driver. Prefer extra comfort? We also offer Private SUV and open-top Jeep tours.
▸ Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to self-ride?
Yes. Self-ride requires a valid motorbike licence plus an IDP (1968 Vienna Convention, category A1 or A) — the two are only valid together, and riding without them voids your travel insurance. Travelling alone? Our Solo package (5,200,000₫) puts you behind your own Easy Rider — no licence needed, no supplement on top.
▸ Do I need a permit to travel through Ha Giang?
Yes — a Border Area Permit is legally required. HagiangTrips arranges this for you in advance, completely free. Send a passport photo via WhatsApp to +84 904 044 772 after booking.
▸ What about my large luggage?
Leave big bags at HagiangTrips Hotel — free of charge. We recommend a 20–30L daypack for the ride.
▸ Is it safe? What if it rains?
Safety is our highest priority. We provide full-body raincoats and waterproof bags. If HagiangTrips must cancel due to severe weather or landslides, you receive a free date change or a 100% refund. Travel insurance up to 200,000,000₫ is included.
▸ What are the deposit and payment terms?
A 30% deposit secures your booking. Pay via OnePay (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB) or bank transfer — we cover all transaction fees. Balance due on arrival by cash, card, or transfer.
▸ Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Absolutely. We cater to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Let us know at booking so our team and homestays can prepare accordingly.

Planning to ride yourself? Check your licence first. Vietnam accepts
only 1968 Vienna Convention IDPs. Permits issued in the
USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and Spain are not valid here — and there is no IDP you can buy that would be. Riding without one voids your travel insurance.
